Our girl scouts sell

Carmel delights are known as Samoas here, peanut butter patties are known as tagalongs (although I would not have guessed that, I would have guessed Do-si-dos)
DUH!
On Monday the 27th(of december), they called me on my cell phone about the payment, with all the holidays I forgot, it was due on the 21st....I hate coupon books....mail me a bill, please.
Knowing that it was almost paid off, I asked the payoff amount...she told me 519 and some change, I said ok, I am not home right now but, I am writing the amount down and will mail it out tomorrow. She said fine she would make a notation. At least I think that is what she said, about half the office staff at this place speaks broken english in a variety of accents. (the van came from a place that buys lease-up work vehicles and resells them so, the loan was not with a major bank)
I get home and mail it out the next day (the 28th), which is a Thursday. Now, remember we still have the New year holiday and they are closed on the weekend. Apparently, they did not receive it til the 4th...which is totally reasonable given the holiday, counting the day I mailed it, it took 4 working days to receive it for them to record it.
I assume (yah, yah my dad told me to assume is to make an ass out of u and me)all is well and the vehicle is paid off. I should be receiving the pink slip anyday....
Today, they call.
"Where is your payment?"
"What?" I say
"Your payment.", they say.
I say "You called me and I sent it, you cashed it."
They say "Wwell we didnt receive it til the 4th so there is still a balance due and it was due the 21st."
UM ok...
"How much?"
"31.86" they say
"OK can you take it over the phone?" (because I really want it gone)
"No", they say, "We only accept checks in the mail and wire transfers."
"So if I mail today what is the amount I will owe when you receive it?"
"I dont know" I get back
UM alrighty then, I am mailing $35.00....
hmm rethinking....if they added on 31.86 last month (late charge is 23.00...go figure I am sure there is a late charge because they amount I didnt know about was due the 21st)......maybe I should send them 40....

Books
I like to read.....I often have many books sitting around my desk on my list of books to read. A friend of mines husband told me that every January, she makes a list of books she is going to read for the upcoming year.
I thought I would try something similar here (of course it will require my daughters help to figure out how to cross off the ones I finish.) I will not be doing book reviews....I might make an occasional comment on the books but reviews just arent my thing.
Since I have started this on a whim, I will be adding more books to it as I find all the details (aka exact name and/or author)...I might even let you know, if I just couldnt finish the book.
Should you choose to read any of these books and wish to perhaps purchase them thru amazon.com.....do me a favor, and go to www.caheartconnection.org and click on the amazon link before you make your purchase.

I made one of 3 necessary doctor appts for my children....
Finished another blanket for Rebekah. Started Nathans but that might be derailed by one for a gift....poor little guy will be sad....Sunday night he brought me the bag with his material pieces in it and asked me to make his :(
We have girl scouts today. at 1pm. I am afraid I will forget......because I already have multiple times today while trying to figure out my game plan.
My weekend becomes busy starting friday morning. Christine is going to attempt to get Rebekah to sit thru Sign Language 1 which Rebekah has been personally invited to. Then I have to buy christine books for her Music class. Then Christine goes to Disneyland....The class is 9-12. Books will be bought when rebekah is done with class. Christine goes to disneyland after that UNLESS it is before 1030. Then at 3pm Rebekah has a psych appt again.....Then that evening is the block in oranges monthly sign language chat.
Saturday, Ivan has to meet a friend to pick up some part, and do a minor repair on his gun...or seomthing...Christine has a dance that evening. And sunday I think she is doing something at the Band Rehersal room.
Somewhere in the middle of all of that I have to get my laundry done because soon it is going to trap the girls in their room.

For those of you with the new google blogger thingy
Why you ask? Well because apparently I have some setting out of whack and logging into comment is the only way I can log in....once I comment I am good.
If I go to blogger.com or to the main dashboard link I have, I log in then nothing.....I click where I need to and it all disappears and is never replaced with anything.....
It is actually driving me crazy......
Gotta run, a little one wants apple juice......
