to Farmers Market.
I love going to the Farmers market. The bigger the better as far as I am concerned. More things to choose from.
We bought:
2 eggplant....the italian ones....the actual egg shaped ones, although we saw Japanese, Chinese and fairy tales (I have seeds for fairy tales)
2 bags of zucchini
2 bags of blue lake beans
the usual container of apple juice...that everyone is afraid to drink because it tastes good and they want to savor the taste
fresh grapes....green and red...later we saw black too but we already had a ton of grapes
there was a juice vendor we had not seen before...we bought apple peach juice from her....tastes more like a smoothly style drink or a daiquiri then a juice....not think like those tho
Potato bread
banana nut bread
2 tomatoes...because I couldnt decide
and fresh salsa
I think that sums it up.
They actually had fresh organic chickens.....but since right off I didnt have a plan for them I did not buy them
We have a ton of plums from a customer so we kept the fruit to a minimum this time.
There was a vendor there with a pear squash. I was curious but decided against it. It was big and shaped just like a pear (duh) but looked in terms of skin more like a summer squash...but the shape reminded me of a winter squash....but it is too early for winter....
think I will google it to see if it comes up.
OH and my own zuchini is starting to sprout.
EDIT TO ADD: Google did not turn up the squash we saw...it turned up a squash/papaya thing....much smaller then what we saw...
maybe I will be brave next time and give it a whirl

Musical Mondays
subtitled I need a life lol
Ok I finished THE book
so here is my silly musical monday in honor of finishing:
"Save Ginny Weasley" by Harry and The Potters
Are you scared to walk through the hallways?
Are you worried that the spiders run away?
Are you petrified
Of being petrified?
Are we going to have to save the school again?
We've got to save Giny Weasley from the basilisk
We've got to save the school from that unseen horror
We've got to save Ginny Weasley from the basilisk
We've got to save the school agian
It's been freaking out all the kids
It even took out Miss Noris
Ate up the film in Collin's camera
And petrified our friend
Hermione Granger
We've got to save Giny Weasley from the basilisk
We've got to save the school from that unseen horror
We've got to save Ginny Weasley from the basilisk
We've got to save the school agian
You can't take my best friend's sister
You ca'nt take my best friend's sister
You can't take my best friend's sister
And get away with it
We've got to save Ginng Weasley from the basilisk
We've got to save the school from that unseen horror
We've got to save giny weasley from the basilisk

A Tag from my daughter
I have no clue if I did this right....but I waiver between 2 answers....one answer gets me a cat (see below), the other gets me a fish
whatever
whatever
You Would Be a Pet Cat |
![]() Independent and aloof, you don't like to be dependent on anyone. And as for other people, you can take them or leave them. You often don't care. You live your life by your own rules. And you have deep motivations that no one truly understands. Why you would make a great pet: You're not needy or greedy... unlike other four legged friends. Why you would make a bad pet: You're not exactly running down to greet people at the door What you would love about being a cat: Agility and freedom What you would hate about being a cat: Being treated like a dog by clueless humans |

What's new...
Not much....
been reading...or actually Re reading the Harry potter books. I am almost done with 6....could prob finish tonight but I am beat!
Got up early this morning to take the oldest to camp. She is off on a mast ship for a week. They are doing marine biology, astronomy, and learning how to sail the ship....and many more things too but, I am tired...
Oh goody my cell phone just rang....and now I am listening to a telemarketer from Wyndham hotels....or something....geez he needs some practice.
Vlad won the home run derby tonight....do you care? I thought it was neat. Cant say I "care"
Ok I am done listening to the guy....darn cell phone cut off....ok not really....
Visited a used book store on sunday...now I have MORE things to read....
Had a icky dinner at applebees....ok not really, mine was fine. Ivans and Christines was apparently awful. I didnt want a taste.
Went to Costco saturday WHOOO HOOO not really. I will let you know when I figure out how the heck I spent what I did.
Rebekah has a Hula class tomorrow rofl should be cute.
Christine started swing dance last Thursday. There were 2 other girls there we knew. Christine had a good time and enjoyed getting to know one of the girls. They also had fun people watching. From those that had a few drinks before, to those that had no clue what deodarant is to those who were overly paranoid about smelling and marinaded in things to make them smell better.
My veggies still are attracting bugs....I am trying to get rid of them but not too much luck. The heat looks like it is wiping out my peas :( they are more of a spring or fall veggie anyway and I have more seeds to try again, if they go. I am not giving up but just in case.
I think my computer needs to be rebooted. I keep hearing IM messages but then I dont have any that I can see. Hope no one thinks I am ignoring them lol

Musical Mondays
"Sailing" by Christopher Cross
Christine left for camp today. She is spending 5 days aboard a mast ship. So, I choose this song for her.
It's not far down to paradise
At least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away
And find tranquility
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me
It's not far to never never land
No reason to pretend
And if the wind is right you can find the joy
Of innocence again
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me
Sailing
Takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free
Fantasy
It gets the best of me
When I'm sailing
All caught up in the reverie
Every word is a symphony
Won't you believe me
It's not far back to sanity
At least it's not for me
And when the wind is right you can sail away
And find serenity
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

Self restrant
I just had to use self restrant during a quick, last minute trip to office depot.
Poor planning and I ran out of Steno books for work. So, I had to run out and get more.
Did I tell you my, from seeds, bell peppers aren't growing? I am totally bummed and plan on going back to the nursery where I got my tomato plants next week to get a plant....giving the seeds just a little extra time, just in case.
OK, so office depot is right next door to ACE hardware....I thought, let me look to see if they have bell pepper plants. They had LOADS of basil (and so do I....want some anyone?)and 2 pepper plants but, they were Jalapeno. AND ONE already has 3 peppers on it.....
But, unless I threw the kid's wading pool away or the bikes or the BBQ, I dont have the space for one more pot....and while I have 2 pots that dont seem to be growing, one is the kids (Christines) cat nip, the other is for my pepper. I cant replace the catnip, it isnt mine and I really want bell peppers, they are far more useful then Jalapenos....
So, after pricing pots (yes I went inside) I finally used my self restrant and left the poor, lonely Jalapenos, already fruiting too, there.....
Of course, I am blogging this instead of adding the columns for sales tax like I am supposed to be doing so, that is bad self restrant....

Musical Mondays
"Candle in the Wind" by Elton John...
the one he did as a tribute for Princess Diana.
I am NOT one of those totally obsessed Diana fans, thats my mom lol
However, I really like Elton John, I really like this original, and of course the remake....maybe because HE put such passion into it. And I figured this was as good a time as any for this musical monday
I have gone back and forth with WHAT video I would use. Finally decided on this one from the funeral....there were a few that showed only Diana pics in a montage....and what I like so much is how personal this was to Elton.....and you dont see that in those. Unfortunately, there isnt one that just shows him singing....you have to look at all the people crying too...
did you know someone has broken the entire funeral down and uploaded it in pieces to youtube????
and the Lyrics for those that need them:
Goodbye England's rose
May you ever grow in our hearts
You were the grace that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart
You called out to our country
And you whispered to those in pain
Now you belong to heaven
And the stars spell out your name
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in
And your footsteps will always fall you
Along England's greenest hills
Your candle's burned out long before
Your legend never will
Loveliness we've lost
These empty days without your smile
This torch we'll always carry
For our nation's golden child
And even though we try
The truth brings us to tears
All our words cannot express
The joy you brought us through the years
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in
And your footsteps will always fall you
Along England's greenest hills
Your candle's burned out long before
Your legend never will
Goodbye England's rose
May you ever grow in our hearts
You were the grace that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart
Goodbye England's rose
From a country lost without your soul
Who'll miss the wings of your compassion
More than you'll ever know
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in
And you footsteps will always fall you
Along England's greenest hills
Your candle's burned out long before
Your legend never will

what is new
NOTHING
except that my house is a giant petri dish. Everyone has been sick, most with different symptoms.....ear infection, pink eye and canker sores included.
FUN
and I have been re reading the Harry Potter books....Started last saturday, then didnt read much for a few days. I should have book 3 done tonight....Re reading before the new one comes out so the details can be fresh in my mind....
I will add them to my book list later....maybe today, maybe a week from now....
Oh and my peas have some kind of pest.....Hopefully the stuff I bought today will take care of it!
